Hallo Peter,
Hermann, Agy und Miriam sind wieder wohlbehalten in Deutschland gelandet.
Es hat uns allen in Kenia sehr gut gefallen.
Wir waren bei Phoenix Safaris und unserem Fahrer Richard in guten Händen.
Die Masai Mara in der Regenzeit finde ich klasse, sie war wunderbar grün und ein paar Regenfälle zwischendurch steigern das Erlebnis, wenn man mit dem 4×4 Fahrzeug im Schlamm spielen kann. Wir haben Tiere ohne Ende gesehen. Richard hatte immer ein gutes Gespür, wo sich welche Tiere aufhalten und hat uns sogar einen Leoparden mit seinem Jungen zeigen können. Glück muß man eben haben. Ich hätte mir nie träumen lassen, dass ich so viele Tiere, so dicht zu sehen bekomme.
Riesige Elefanten-, Büffel-, Zebra-, Antilopen-, Impala- und Giraffenherden. Dutzende Hippos im Marariver, 15 und mehr Krokodile die einen Büffel zerlegen. Löwenfamilien und Geparden, einfach super. Letztes Jahr war ich zu Fuß so dicht bei den Grizzley Bären in Alaska und war hin und weg. Nun streiten sich die beiden Erlebnisse um den ersten Platz.
Das Mara Siria Camp war ein Gedicht. Die Zelte super und die Dusche genial. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden bestens bedient.
Auch als Agy ihren “kleinen Durchhänger” hatte, waren sofort alle da und um sie bemüht. Richard hat sofort reagiert und uns in die Buschklinik gefahren und vom Camp oben wurde der bequeme Wagen runter geschickt. Im Bett gab es ein Zusatzwärmflasche für Agy und regelmäßige Nachfragen ob es Agy gut geht.
Die Lage des Camps ist auch schon traumhaft, mit genialem Blick über die Masai Mara.

Hallo Peter!
Nachdem wir wieder gut in Khartum angekommen sind, möchte ich Dir ein Feedback zu unserem Trip nach Nairobi und in die Mara geben:
Kurz gesagt: einfach perfekt!
Wir haben die Zeit wahnsinnig genossen. Es gab bzw. gibt nicht einen Kritikpunkt. Wir haben uns rundherum wunderbar betreut gefühlt und die Jungs und Mädels im Mara Siria Camp haben sich alle Mühe gegeben, damit man die Zeit einfach nur genießen kann. Kenneth und Evans haben als Fahrer einen großartigen Job gemacht. Die Big Five haben wir gesehen und sogar das Zebra hat sich noch gezeigt - was will man mehr? Nachdem wir nun “Blut geleckt haben”, werden wir wieder kommen, insbesondere um einmal die “great migration” gesehen zu haben.

Mara Siria – outstanding location. The views over the western Mara and the Mara River were spectacular. The service was first rate. The ambience created by the outside seating for lunch under the large umbrellas and the evening meal under canvas further down the valley was brilliant. Saw an amazing array of mammals (lion on a kill, large herds of elephant and also cheetah), despite the wet conditions. Jesse and John (our drivers) were great – knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth a return visit.

Dear Peter
Once again thanks for the effort you and your team made for our recent trip to Kilifi. To say the Robinson House was anything less than stunning would be an understatement.
I had my mother, brother and very work stressed partner with me and all were able to quickly relax and almost refused to leave. The place is an absolute haven, beautifully equipped and given it’s remoteness necessitates relaxation.
Adventure is provided by the descent to the Indian Ocean, although if you had a fear of heights it could be a bit of a challenge - for us it was great. Seeing the fisherman come in with their catches and trying to sell them was a cultural treat. Also being able to walk through the plantation and it’s village was lovely.
The beds set high in the guesthouse provided superb views and I have to say definite romantic touch. The fact that the two guest houses were seperate also allowed us our individual privacy and we all found our own little knooks to hide in with good books.
My partner tells me we will be going back and even my brother says he wants to save for a trip back from Oz (Australia), not to Kenya but to Robinson House.

we had a FANTASTIC time on our safari! I can’t say enough about how we enjoyed Simon, Peter, Rafael and Robert - our drivers and guides - enjoyed our time with them, talking about Kenya, its politics, its people, and of course the knowledge of Simon and Rafael about the parks and wildlife. Logistics were perfect, everything went smoothly, and the accommodations perfect (Samburu Serena, Lake Baringo Club, Lion Hill, Mara Siria Tented Bush Camp, Banana House Lamu)!
Thanks for putting this together for us! It was the exact break that we needed! You and your team have certainly gained our support and we will pass along your coordinates to all that will listen!
I do have a photo for you guys, taken in masai mara, of one of your landcruisers and a male lion lying in the road, I’ll pass it along!
